The Coorest and PLCnetwork partnership results in green initiatives within the NFT world

Decentralized carbon credit exchange Coorest and consulting firm PLCnetwork of the Southern Hemisphere have teamed up to create tokens of Africa’s endangered animal species. Through the NFT, sponsorship of elephants, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos will be available. The proceeds will go to feed them and support their safety.

The benefits of NFTs are that they will set up a long-term “relationship with the animals”, which is not so much about owning a token, but a “proof of life” certificate, including species and age information. Holders in addition will be invited to visit reservations and meet their animals.

Coinbase starts social NFT marketplace

Coinbase announced that their social NFT marketplace is in beta stage and available to “a small group of beta testers who’ll be invited based on their position”.

The company is interested in bringing big players into the space by adding social elements like comments (likes and dislikes), and a news feed tied to a specific algorithm. Also, there is a “Shop” button where you can buy NFTs.

Louis Vuitton to add NFT collection to “Louis: The Game”

Last August, Louis Vuitton launched a “Louis: The Game” mobile game. The company recently announced changes to the project, adding a new NFT collection.

Players who collect a certain amount of free NFTs in the game will get a chance to participate in an NFT giveaway, which runs through August 4. Players have a chance to win one of 10 new multi-platform NFTs in the form of the game’s PFP heroine Vivienne in various looks.

Air Europa partners with TravelX to release first NFT tickets

Spanish airline company Air Europa has partnered with the blockchain entity TravelX to issue the first NFT airline tickets on the Algorand blockchain.

NFTickets will give their holders access to a business class flight from Madrid to Miami on Nov. 29, 2022, a private party and events at MIAMI ART WEEK.

Each of the 10 NFTickets will be designed by an artist, “bringing meaning and art to what was once a simple airline ticket.” The first of the ten auctions took place on April 11. A ticket with an art by Carlos Betancourt was sold for $1 million USDC. The next auction is set for May 4.

U.S. Air Force to enter the metaverse

The United States Armed Forces have decided to create their own metaverse — the U.S. Air Force has filed a trademark application for SpaceVerse.

SpaceVerse is described as “a secure digital metaverse that converges terrestrial and space physical and digital realities and provides synthetic and simulated extended-reality (XR) training, testing and operations environments”.

Snoop Dogg collaborates with Cardano

Snoop Dogg has partnered with Clay Nation to launch an NFT collection on the Cardano blockchain.

Clay Nation is a collection of 10,000 digital NFT characters made from clay. The collection is currently sold out, but on the secondary market, the minimum price is about $2,623. Clay Nation tweeted about the collaboration with Snoop Dogg, which began after meeting Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson.

Deadfellaz signs with UTA

UTA announced in their tweet that they have signed an agreement with Deadfellaz, in order to help the project in different sectors: merch, games, live events, marketing.

Deadfellaz, like CryptoPunks and BAYC, is a generative art, where different variations of zombies are part of a collection of 10,000 NFTs while its holders, nicknamed “The Horde,” get access to virtual events and new collections.

Emirates Airlines joins the NFT and metaverse world

Emirates is expanding the metaverse possibilities for its customers and flight crews. It also plans to launch NFTs, which enthusiasts can use as collectibles or for utility purposes.

The airline also announced that Emirates Pavilion will be reconstructed into an innovation center to develop metaverse and NFT-related projects. In addition, the company is going to attract talents from around the world to contribute their expertise in developing ideas for the future of the airline.
