EXIT festival launches NFT collection

EXIT, one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, has announced the launch of its own NFT collection one month before the start of the 3-day entertainment.

The collection will start minting on May 14. It will include headphones with the 2001 EXIT logo and some other features for the very first members of the Discord community.

In addition, token holders will have the opportunity to meet some of the festival’s headliners in person, as well as exclusive access to private parties that will take place outside the territorial boundaries of the festival.

Starbucks enters the Web3 space

We already mentioned in early April the brand’s intentions to enter the world of NFT. This time, Starbucks plans to launch a series of NFTs collections.

The brand says its NFTs will provide “unique experiences, community building, and customer engagement,” complementing its current app-based digital ecosystem.

In addition to NFTs, the company plans to launch a “Starbucks Digital Community Web3” platform, possibly related to in-store mobile payments.

For now, it’s not clear exactly what the perks will be or what blockchain technology the coffee corporation is counting on.

The Vatican to launch NFT gallery

Sensorium, a virtual reality startup, has announced a collaboration with the Vatican, which plans to open an NFT gallery this year.

The goal is to “democratize the art” stored in the Vatican museums: access to all and from everywhere. The Vatican collection includes hundreds of works of art, including works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso.

Uzbekistan enters the crypto world

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued a new decree to regulate the cryptocurrency industry.

The decree prescribes the reorganization of the National Agency for Project Management (NAPM), which is obliged to develop a unified state policy regarding cryptocurrency, in order to protect investors and measures to combat illegal activities in this area.

The NAPM will be restructured into a new institution called the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP). It will be responsible for a wide range of projects related to crypto-regulation and the adoption of a “special crypto-regulation regime” in the country.

Spotify enters the Roblox metaverse

Spotify has entered the Roblox platform by launching Spotify Island.

On the island, users will be able to create music, hang out, communicate with artists and musicians, and get exclusive access to virtual goods.

The company also introduced a gaming interface there: you collect “Like” badges and exchange them for merchandise. Special tasks for exclusive content are also expected.

Gucci launches crypto payment at its US boutiques

Luxury fashion brand Gucci plans to launch a crypto payment program in some U.S. stores later this month and in all North American stores this summer.

Customers will make crypto payments using a QR code sent to their email addresses, allowing them to access their cryptocurrency wallets. Gucci will accept payments in more than 10 currencies, including bitcoin, dogecoin, ethereum, and others.

“Gucci is always looking to embrace new technologies when they can provide an improved experience for our customers,” said Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Gucci.

Chris Brown to unveil his first NFT collection

Chris Brown and John Dean, the founder of Renowned, have announced the launch of their NFT and streetwear collection — The Auracles. The collection is based on a black superhero named Auracles, who can travel through time and has “shape-shifting” powers.

Brown and Dean teamed up to create the collection with a team of Black developers and 3D artists. In addition, they also enlisted the help of BlackNFTART, a group that promotes “black” digital art.

The expected launch date for the NFT collection is May 10, 2022.

RTFKT and Nike announce IRL Apparel

RTFKT Studios has announced the upcoming release of an official virtual and physical clothing collection following a recent collaboration with Nike to create the CloneX NFT.

RTFKT recently showed a collaborative Nike hoodie as a clone wearable. RTFKT co-founder Benoit Pegotta posted, “This is not your usual physical hoodie, this hoodie is designed for special functions.” RTFKT later confirmed on its Instagram that the hoodie would be in digital format and would have a physical copy.
