GTA 6 play-to-earn feature
According to a recent leak, Grand Theft Auto 6, which is rumored to be released in 2024, may feature a play-to-earn mechanic.
In February, Rockstar Games announced the development of the next part of the red-hot franchise. While the developer has yet to release more details, there are rumors that GTA 6 will have an in-game currency. It means players will be able to earn and trade in the game.
Monet, Degas, Manet, and Renoir in NFT format
LaCollection.io partners with the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) to launch a new collection of NFT art. It will feature pastels painted by some of the greatest impressionists. These artworks are rarely shown to the public.
La Collection x MFA NFT owners will access MFA membership programs, exhibition previews, and curator events. They will also be able to view selected pieces behind the scenes.
Token prices are €299–399, and the presale starts on July 13.
NFT by Bill Murray
Project Venkman, The Chive, and Bill Murray are launching the “Bill Murray 1,000” NFT collection on Coinbase. It’s based on an image of Bill Murray drawn by David Grizzle.
Each NFT will include one of Bill’s 100 stories about his life and career and access to private Discord channels and exclusive events with the actor.
Binance & Khabane “Khaby” Lame
Binance has teamed up with Italian-Senegalese TikTok star Khaby Lame who will become a brand ambassador and promote Binance and Web3.
Khaby will use his signature style to debunk the myths and misconceptions associated with Web3. There are also plans to create an exclusive NFT collection on Binance.
Khaby Lame is currently the most followed blogger on TikTok with 145 million followers.
Catalonia to create its own metaverse
The Catalan government plans to turn the region into a digital hub with an innovation center in Barcelona.
Currently, work is underway to create CataVerse — the metaverse aimed to broadcast and support the Catalan language and culture.
World of Women & Monopoly
Remember the cheerful old man in the top hat? WoW has teamed up with Hasbro to create the Monopoly NFT with WoW Galaxy tokens.
The collection, of course, is limited and is expected to grant access to WoW and WoW Galaxy holders only. There are few details yet, but NFT may provide an opportunity to get a physical copy of the WoW-style game. A digital game probably won’t be released.
New crypto phone from HTC 📱
HTC has released its first “Viverse” phone, designed to be compatible with their Metaverse platform and supporting crypto and NFT features.
HTC Desire 22 Pro will be released with built-in apps for interacting with NFTs and crypto wallets that operate on the ETH and Polygon networks. Also, the device is optimized to work alongside a VR headset.
